Overview
Three launched in 2023 as a community hub for Okay Bears holders, but early feedback revealed a lack of clarity, low engagement, and visual clutter. Over six weeks, I worked as a product designer, collaborating closely with the product team to audit the platform, define user needs, and redesign both the interface and the engagement model.
NFT ownership alone wasn’t enough to keep holders engaged. After the initial launch hype, participation dropped. We needed to:
Clarify what users could do on the platform
Create more reasons for users to return
Simplify the visual system without losing brand identity
Build features that motivate both casual and dedicated collectors
Research
Key findings
Three wasn't living up to its full potential.
Limited depth to the platform
Simplify navigation and hierarchy.
Difficulty tracking
in-product offers
Streaks, badges, and dashboards should feel rewarding.
Unable to benefit from the platform
A modular design system to support future growth.
Insight
This helped form our guiding question: How might we make NFT ownership interactive, rewarding, and repeatable for Okay Bears holders?
Strategy & objectives
Defining guiding principals
Three was at risk of becoming visually noisy and functionally shallow, so principles gave us a north star: they clarified what mattered most, helped prioritize features, and ensured the redesign balanced both clarity and community spirit.
Clarity first, delight second
Simplify navigation and hierarchy.
Visible progression
Streaks, badges, and dashboards should feel rewarding.
Scalable foundation
A modular design system to support future growth.
Solution
The updated design gave Three clarity, motivation, and room to grow. Visual clutter was reduced, streaks and tickets became more engaging, and grails added new depth for collectors. By applying a consistent design system, we created a foundation that supports future features while keeping the platform playful and cohesive.
Key design decisions
Functional homepage
The homepage was restructured with a clear ticket counter, announcement space, and simplified navigation. A reduced color palette cut down on noise, making it easier for users to see their status and next steps.
New features
As part of the overall update, we weren’t only refreshing visuals — we also introduced new features to give holders more reasons to engage and return. From dashboards to badges, these updates expanded what the platform could do while building on the refreshed design system.
Tickets
A new dashboard consolidated all ticket activity into one view. Users could track totals and see exactly how tickets were earned, giving the system more meaning.
Dashboard
Beyond just tracking active streaks, I designed a dashboard view that surfaces deeper stats to keep users motivated.

Design system updates
The system not only streamlined visual hierarchy on core pages but also enabled the creation of new modular components, like the collections modal.

Outcome
The updated design gave Three clarity, motivation, and room to grow.
Closing thoughts
The updates laid the groundwork for future growth, from stronger daily habits to new collectible systems.
